The previous Leading by Example website was developed on a platform originally built for very different requirements, which was deemed to be very restrictive and also proved to be a real hindrance to the end user experience.
We were therefore required to simplify the management and presentation of the data to increase the support from all involved to ensure the effectiveness and future success of the platform.
Our approach
The client was keen for us to start with a blank canvas to avoid inheriting problems from their previous site, which enabled us to approach some of the challenges in a completely new perspective.
OmCore’s core CMS functionality easily catered for the production of the site structure empowering the client to control the supporting brochure material required to assist the end users using of the platform.
Working with OmCore’s extensible dynamic features we built a bespoke module to manage the complex data structure, which was imperative for improving the end user experience.
The result
Through a new clean, simple and easy to use website interface with consideration for plenty of content growth, access is now only available through an automated registration and login facility.
By eliminating all hard coded interface features the client now has maximum control over their content publication, assessment management tools, reporting facilities and extensive list of available resources.
The platform also has multiple tiers of access for platform administrators to be able to monitor the assessment results generated by each local authority allowing them to act on training issues raised.
We are extremely pleased with the final product, and the swift and professional way that Kevin and his team have responded to a very changing environment.

I am looking forward to launching the new site with the Deputy CEO of the Local Government group, and hope to work with Omcore again in the future.
