Project summary
Having had no previous experience of building a website, the client was keen to find a company who had the tools and the expertise to guide them through the challenging development process. With the site intended as a side line to their day job, we gave specific consideration to the ongoing management of the content as it had to be quick and easy.
Using OmCore’s eCommerce features we created a completely dynamic interface built around the data stored against each product. As the client continues to publish new products the system automatically updates the scrolling carousel, the categorised search feature. The artists profile packages are also completely dynamic building the page content from the data stored against each product.
The blog module enables the client to share their passion for the subject capturing inbound data in their customer database, which they use to start building an online community with other global collectors through the publication of regular email newsletters.
Having an idea and creating it are two different things.
What I liked about Omcore was that I was given one to one attention and listened to in order to make my vision a reality. Omcore ensured the technical operating practicalities of the site.
It is important to me to have a face behind an e-mail as I am not what you would describe as a 'Techy'. Kevin provided me with one to one support throughout and never got frustrated with my questions. Thereafter, yes there have been occasional teething problems on the site but they are dealt with in an efficient manner and when I need to I can pick up the phone and speak to someone as well as correspond by e-mail.
I now have a website which is easy for me to manage and allows me to focus on what I am good at sourcing products, info, images and managing my customer base. I would happily recommend Omcore to anyone starting out.
