Project summary

When Impellus approached us they had very clear objectives for the development of their website and high expectations for their online business services.

They’re intentions were well defined they just needed a partner to outsource their development and ongoing support activities required for managing their core business sales and marketing activities online.

Our approach

The companies website activity is moving at such a pace we needed to keep things simple where ever possible, in order that we could deploy new website features at extremely quick yet controlled pace.

At first glance the Impellus website which is still adapting OmCore’s default website template may not appear overly glamorous but there’s an awful lot of cogs turning behind the scenes.

We consider the strategy for this website to be a great business model to follow with the client focused entirely on developing the quality and quantity of content without being overly precious over the design.

By not getting too bogged down with the design at this early stage, we are able to react quickly to business ideas and experiment with new sales and marketing initiatives.

This approach keeps all future design decisions well and truly focused the browsing audience and clients needs, rather than being influenced by personal tastes and opinions.

The result

Impellus have continued to extend their online activities at a rapid pace adopting a number of advanced production and website marketing techniques to generate some exceptional results.

We have continued to adapt the free website design template progressively customising the identity for each marketing channel to track, measure and test results with each subtle change.

Impellus have a customer database of over 120k opt in contacts, they’re now sending over 250k targeted email campaigns each month using OmCore’s Email messaging module to further track results.

As they continue to extend their communications online developing extended service to work more closely with their clients, it was a natural progression for us to implement a Message Board into the site.

Restricting this service to registered members we integrated our built in registration and login features of the Customers module with the Message Board to develop a central customer database and avoid duplication.

In our eyes this client has become one of our greatest examples of a results driven website fueled by good content, a well planned marketing strategy and measured results justifying expenditure at every stage.
